Lansing Community College
2020 Community Discussion

Hot Topics in the Transmosphere was part of LCC's 2020 Trans Awareness Week activities and featured a variety of different voices from the Trans community in an engaging discussion on topics and issues like healthcare, civil rights, safety, and more.

The discussion was hosted by Layne Ingram, LCC special projects coordinator and Trans Activist with special guests Jess Stevens, Jamie Ashby and Lindsay Shinn.

Each year, LCC participates in Transgender Awareness Week to help raise the visibility of transgender and gender-nonconforming people as well as address the issues the community faces. You're invited to learn, celebrate, and support the community!

Transgender Awareness Week is a one-week celebration leading up to Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) on November 20th each year, which memorializes victims of transphobic violence.
