LCC to hold Women in Trades virtual event

Tech Forward | Women in Trades Event | The future we are building together

LANSING, Mich. - Lansing Community College will hold Tech Forward: Women in Trades virtual event 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, March 19.

This free online event will provide a gateway to learn more about the exciting opportunities available for women in the skilled trades. Attendees will learn about trade careers, industry demand, and programs available in LCC’s Technical Careers Division.

Carol Cool Executive Director of Women in Skilled Trades (WIST), will be the keynote speaker. Cool has thirty years of experience in the construction industry, primarily as a construction project manager. She is also an instructor and manages the WIST apprenticeship readiness program for women.

LCC’s Construction Management program was recently ranked No. 5 in the nation and Best in the Midwest for 2021 by Intelligent.com.
