Lansing, Mich. - Lansing Community College is set to host the ultimate college open house. The Program and Career Showcase will take place 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3 at the Downtown Campus, 309 N. Washington Square, Lansing.
The event will showcase careers and fields of study with interactive demonstrations and experiences featuring robotic arms, welding simulators, active nursing and science labs, live musical and theatrical performances, on-site police, fire and emergency management vehicles, art displays and more.
Guided tours of LCC's facilities, labs, simulation rooms and learning environments begin at 6:30 p.m., and all campus buildings will remain open for exploration at visitors' desired pace during the event. Financial aid and academic planning workshops will be held at various times throughout the evening.
In addition, the College's student resource areas will be available to answer questions and help those interested in applying to attend LCC.
Community Education programs, including Youth and Adult Enrichment will be highlighting their classes, including motorcycle safety and battling robots.
The LCC Program and Career Showcase is geared toward adults who are considering returning to school to achieve a degree or certificate, recent high school graduates, high school freshman, sophomores, juniors or seniors interested in learning about in-demand careers and educational opportunities.
