LCC Board Approves $126.2 Million 2018 Budget

Plan continues to emphasize student success and completion

June 20, 2017

LANSING, MICH. - The Lansing Community College (LCC) Fiscal Year 2017-18 budget was approved by the LCC Board of Trustees at their monthly meeting last night. The $126.2 million budget will continue supporting important student success initiatives that were adopted in 2016, including improvements in academic advising, student services, and completion programs.

The balanced budget plan includes a tuition increase of $4 per billing hour for fall 2017 to $103 per billing hour for in-district students. LCC’s new rate will remain below the statewide average of $111 per credit/billing hour.

Included in the budget is a $348 thousand increase in salaries and wages, continuing to support the College's efforts for Operation 100% and Student Success initiatives.

The approved budget is based on an increase in state appropriations by 0.7 percent and a property tax revenue increase of 4.5 percent, without an increase to the College's millage rate.
