Women fall to St. Clair County CC

The LCC women's basketball team lost 80-51 at St. Clair County Community College on Saturday, Dec. 18.

"We played well to start off, then slowly lost our momentum,"freshman Skyy Lockhart said.

This loss put the Star's record at 1-9 overall heading into the holiday break.

"We had a really bad game,"sophomore Jasmine Goins said. "We only had seven girls to play with. … It was a long, snowy drive and the vibe was just off that day."

Freshman Elysia Causley scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Stars.

"The game is in the past and the team and I are focused on conference game play and (we're) ready to put more work in,"Lockhart said.

The Stars are scheduled to return on Monday, Jan. 3, to play Kellogg Community College in LCC's first MCCAA Western Conference game of the season. The game will take place at home in the Gannon Gym. Action starts at 5:30 p.m.
