Retiree Benefits Summary
Retirement Benefits
LCC retirement plan benefits are administered by the Office of Retirement Services (ORS) through the Michigan Public School Employees' Retirement System (MPSERS). Some retirees who served as Full-Time Faculty or Administrator may have elected benefits through the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP), which is administered through TIAA. Information about retirement/pension benefits should be directed to MPSERS (800-381-5111) or TIAA (800-842-2252).
LCC Email Account Access
Upon request, the retiree will be provided a retiree email account and access to limited Help Desk information for LCC email accounts. Contact the Help Desk for more information.
Facility Access
The retiree may retain their LCC ID card for access to the library and on campus LCC-sponsored sporting events. Open computer lab access is also available at specified times for retirees as posted by lab staff.
Education Benefits
The retiree, spouse, and IRS eligible dependents may take LCC courses tuition free (not to exceed 8 credits per family, per semester). A retiree or family member may be dropped to prevent displacing paying students. All fees associated with the course(s) will be paid by the retiree or family members. To utilize the tuition waiver benefit, the retiree must complete the corresponding Tuition Waiver Request Form below before the start date of the requested course(s). If the request is for an eligible spouse or dependent, Human Resources might require additional paperwork to substantiate the relationship and will reach out to the retiree by email if required.
Please note: If you are new to using Dynamic Forms, you will need to create an account using a personal email address to log into the request form(s) below. If you do not have a personal email address and use your LCC retiree email address (@star.lcc.edu) as your primary email, please use the request form(s) on the LCC Tuition Waiver webpage instead.
