Non-Traditional 2nd Degree Accelerated Track

Lansing Community College offers a 2nd Degree Accelerated Track for those who currently hold a Bachelors Degree.

Prospective students who are eligible for admission into the program will be required to submit application with interest by March 1st.  All the same prerequisites to the traditional and alternate programs apply. The only difference
is that the Full-time instruction will be provided over a period of 14 months including online methodology and face-to-face instruction.

The successful graduate will be eligible to write the NCLEX-PN to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and the NCLEX-RN Exam to become a Registered Nurse with licensure in the State of Michigan.

Students who plan to apply to the nursing program must attend a mandatory Pre-Nursing Advising Seminar.  Dates are established by the Counseling and Advising Office (call 517/483-1904 for upcoming dates) or click here to see scheduled dates. Students MUST read the Nursing Advising Guide THOROUGHLY BEFORE attending a seminar.
