Your support can change the life of a student from the foster care system. The Fostering S.T.A.R.S. Program provides a wonderful opportunity and a supportive network for students currently engaged in or aging out of the foster care system. Some of the services provided in this program include advising, academic support, community outreach, transportation assistance, specific emergency assistance, care packages, one-on-one mentoring, group membership, and networking opportunities.
Additionally, students involved in this program will be able to connect with an independent life skills coach who is trained in providing guidance, empowerment, and improvement in all areas of life. A life skills coach seeks to empower others by helping them make, meet and exceed goals. They work to improve outcomes for students by tapping into their full potential and shedding new light on difficult life situations.
Your gift will be used to provide emergency grants, transportation assistance, developmental opportunities and scholarships to students in the program.
