A show highlighting the University Center at LCC that delves into college credit transfer and provides informative discussion on the common myths of attending community colleges and transfer opportunities. Former and current students, faculty members, advisors, university representatives and industry experts will join host Patty Spagnuolo as guests to share stories, experiences and answer everyday questions students and parents have when navigating college waters.
The Host
Patty Spagnuolo is the Director of the University Center and Transfer Initiatives Department at Lansing Community College. With 30+ years of experience at LCC, Patty has been involved in many aspects of the College. As a first-generation college student, school is her passion. She holds an Associate in Business from LCC, a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership both from Northwood University. An advocate for education, Patty is concerned about the perception of higher education, especially among today’s youth. She serves on the board for the Capital Area College Access Network, and for the Coalition for College and Career Readiness, she also participates in various LCC advisory councils and work groups.
In all things, her family is a priority, she and her husband of 35 years raised three boys, Matthew, Jonathon and William, and now have four wonderful grandchildren. Other interests include taking walks with Archer - her yellow lab, gardening, yoga, swimming, reading and writing.
