Dr. Tonya Bailey

Dr. Tonya C. Bailey is the Chief Diversity Officer at Lansing Community College reporting directly to the institution's President. She is an accomplished executive leader with over 25+ years of experience in higher education overseeing diversity, equity and inclusion strategies, student affairs administration and academic instruction along with programming oversite. A sought-out educational consultant, inclusion specialist, DEI training expert, keynote speaker and professional coach. Her career and educational skills include organizational and employee development, recruitment and hiring diverse talent, strategic planning, inclusive pedagogy training, implementing equity action plans and she is an expert in revamping and turning around underperforming programs and supporting marginalized and minoritized populations.
