LCC is offering a non-credit option for participating music ensembles.

Music Ensembles

If you are an instrumentalist or vocalist looking for an exciting regularly-scheduled and enriching musical opportunity, then join one of LCC's fine performance ensembles:

  • Concert Choir
    Perform a wide range of music, both sacred and secular.
  • Jazz Ensemble
    Rehearse and perform pieces of various styles and from various periods in jazz and big band sound while learning and developing improvisational skills
  • Lansing Concert Band
    Play all types of music with a concentration on traditional concert band literature
  • Multi-Instrumental Music Ensemble
    Write, arrange, rehearse, and perform works for instrumental music ensemble of varying sizes and instrumentation
  • Rock Band
    Rehearse and perform rock music of diverse styles, including cover songs as well as original compositions and arrangements by students. The instrumentation is open to the characteristic make-up of rock ensembles, including guitar, bass, keyboard, drum-set instruments and singers. Other instrumentalists may join to expand the ensemble.

Each ensemble is a semester-long commitment; for semester dates, visit schedule.  Some ensemble directors may require an audition.

Prospective students for Fall 2018 admittance can audition on Friday, May 4th or by appointment. Please contact Dr. Ten Brink to schedule an audition.
