LCC is hosting a panel discussion and visual display in the Library in recognition of Constitution Day.
The speaking panel will take place in Dart Auditorium. Panelists include:
- Chris Swope, Lansing City Clerk
- Brian Calley, former Lt. Gov.
- Virg Bernero, former mayor of Lansing
Pocket-size Constitutions will be available at the panel as well as outside Student Life and the Centre for Engaged Inclusion in the Gannon Building.
The Library visual display will showcase pieces about the Constitution. It will be located on the second floor of the Library and available all day. Pocket-size Constitutions will be available at this location as well.
Constitution Day, also known as Citizenship Day, is a national holiday recognizing the adoption of the U.S. Constitution. It lands on the anniversary of the day that 39 Constitutional Convention delegates signed the Constitution in Philadelphia and submitted it to the Congress of the Confederation.
