Judy Leventhal

Academic Advisor

After teaching in LCC's Science Department for five years, I moved to academic advising in 2006. I've enjoyed this job ever since then because academic advising is like solving a puzzle where all of the pieces (school, work, family, leisure) have to fit into their places to make a workable plan. I specialize in the area of health careers and enjoy helping students make realistic academic plans that maximize their chances of reaching their goals. My educational background is in microbiology and women's health issues. I spend my free time exercising, letting my cats in and out of the house, reading novels, quilting, baking, and annoying my four children about producing some grandchildren for me to spoil.
