Lansing Community College

Occupational and Environmental Safety (OES) is responsible for the administration of Lansing Community College’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations as it relates to occupational and environmental safety under the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Michigan’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), building and fire codes under the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and Michigan’s Bureau of Fire Services (BFS), and environmental regulations under Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). In addition, OES provides technical resources and training to divisions, departments, and programs designed to protect LCC’s employees and students. Working together we can establish and maintain a comprehensive culture of safety at LCC.
