Dave Hunt wears many hats: assistant vice president and branch manager of Mercantile Bank, managing partner in a family business, husband and father. Before his career, he knew he wanted to achieve his degree and began taking classes at another university, where he felt unsupported. He made his way to Lansing Community College and met with an advisor who told him about transfer opportunities at the University Center. “I walked in with an idea and walked out with a plan in hand,” Dave said about his academic planning session with an LCC advisor. “It was the most seamless process. Because of the great connection and support with Chris, my UC advisor, during my undergraduate experience, I decided to attend Northwood’s MBA program through the UC as well.” The support and convenient class times motivated Dave to achieve his goals, “I felt like the UC truly cared about the human component and understood the big picture— that its students are balancing work, family and school.”
