Jason Mitchell

Jason Mitchell

Jason Mitchell has more than 25 year's professional experience in the areas of technical training, computer support, networking, and Security design and implementation. He has worked for fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, and spent a lot of his career in the health industry. Before coming to Lansing Community College, Jason was an IT manager for Community Mental Health. Managing both help desk staff and network engineers. He was also responsible for HIPAA compliance and performed all investigations when necessary. Jason holds a MBA in Information Technology Management and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. In addition to his education credentials, Jason has earned over 20 industry certifications including: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Cloud+, Server+, CySA+, CASP+ as well as (ISC)2 SSCP, and EC Council CeH.

Cameron Dean

Cameron Dean

Cameron Dean has taught full time over a dozen years in the Computer Information Technologies Department of the Technical Careers Division. He is the Coordinator for the LCC Cisco Networking Academy and an advisor for the Computer Networking and Cyber Security degree. He has served 15 years at GM/EDS training and working on various IT computer projects. He also worked in the IT departments of 3 banks. Cameron Dean has a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and various industry certifications.

Ed Thomas

Ed Thomas is a Profess of Law Enforcement at Lansing Community College for over 19 years. He serves many different facets for the college including advising on the Criminal Justice advisory board, participates on the academic senate, is an adviser for the Center for Cybersecurity Education, lead developer for the digital evidence curriculum, and former chair of the college-wide curriculum committee. He also taught at Ferris state University within the criminal justice program. Prior to becoming a Professor, Ed served as a Police Officer for the City of Lansing Police Department and developed minority recruitment program and served as a school liaison. Ed has a MSA from Central Michigan University in Criminal Justice.

Adam Richardson

Adam Richardson has been in the IT industry for more than 20 years. He worked as an IT consultant in the Greater Lansing Area for 15 years and completed project work related to web development, software engineering, cybersecurity, networking, database design, user experience, cloud technologies, and machine learning. He holds a Masters of Information Technology degree from Virginia Tech and has earned the CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications.
