Lansing Community College is moving forward in their search for the college’s next president. The LCC Board of Trustees approved a resolution to establish a Presidential Screening Committee at a special board meeting Tuesday, Jan. 7.
A President Screening Committee will be formed with a membership that represents the college’s stakeholders and whose members are appointed by the board chair, Trustee Lawrence Hidalgo, Jr. The LCC Board of Trustees determined that the screening committee would comprise 15 members to no less than 11 members. Three Trustees will also serve on the committee.
The screening committee is tasked with ensuring a nationwide search to identify the most outstanding candidates available and providing a shortlist of recommendations for board consideration of not less than three to no more than five candidates.
The LCC Board of Trustees will host a Campus Forum from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 16 in the Michigan Room to obtain input from the LCC campus stakeholders on a presidential candidate profile from which the job posting will be created.
