INVENTORY
ASSET PROCESSES
The college
Fixed/Inventory Asset tagging policy requires affixing barcode tags to
all tangible assets, acquired through donation, gift, transfer, purchase,
capital lease or self-construction, costing $1,000 or more, and having a
life expectancy of one year or more. The policy also includes tagging of items identified as
particularly vulnerable to loss per the Inventory
Asset Types listing.
TAGGING OF INVENTORY ASSETS
Please complete an Equipment
Tagging Request for tagging of items not ordered through the Banner system
(ie P-Card purchase or
donation), or items not identified by Purchasing for tagging.
Receiving will automatically tag items already identified by Purchasing.
In addition to the Site,
Building, Floor and Room information that is a part of the Services
Request Form, please include the following information in the Remarks
section, about the item for tagging, if applicable:

MOVEMENT OF TAGGED
INVENTORY ASSETS
Please complete an Inventory
Control Request when moving LCC tagged assets from one location to another, on
a permanent basis, without using Moving Services or ITR. Moving
Services and ITR are responsible for recording changes when tagged items
are moved through their operations.
Use the new location
information when populating the Site, Building, Floor and Room information
in the Services Request Form, and please include the following
information, about the item being moved in the remarks section:

INVENTORY ASSET REPORTS
Individuals may request
listings of Inventory Assets by a variety of parameters that are now
available within the Inventory system.
Three report options are currently available.

The
Inventory
Asset by Building Report will include all inventory
assets within a specific building, by room location, including the
description, cost, manufacturer, model, serial number, acquisition
date and useful life.

The Inventory
Asset by Room Report will include all inventory assets within a
specific room, including the equipment description, cost,
manufacturer, model, serial number, acquisition date and useful
life.

The Custom
Inventory
Asset Report will be for other needs not
covered in the other two reports.
Provide a description of the inventory asset information
desired, and if the information is available, a custom report will be
developed.
Reports will be sent via
Lotus Note to the requestor as Word document and Access database
attachments.
