FAQs - Web Development
Here are a few to get us started. If you don't see your question send us an email.
Am I required to use the LCC website template?
All college websites (except personal and course-related websites) must use the LCC website template. For more information on this, please see the Web Guidelines.
Why can't I see the changes that I made to my website?
Changes made are saved directly to the development Equator server, this is not live immediately. The server is updated every day: Monday-Friday, at 5:00 a.m.
Also, you may need to refresh your browser due to caching. If changes are still not viewable after doing this, close your browser and re-open to view your website. If this does not fix the problem, please contact the LCC Help Desk to submit a Service Request.
Does LCC's web server support all programming languages?
No, it does not. If you are interested in creating an online application that requires a specific programming language, please contact Web Management for more information.
How do I build a form?
If your website requires a form, please contact Web Management for assistance.
What's the best way to edit a web page?
The best way to do this is to make a copy of the file that you wish to replace and make any changes on this file. When it appears how you wish, simply delete the old file and rename the new one.
How do I create an Acrobat (.pdf) file for my website?
To create an (.pdf) file, Adobe Acrobat is required.
