Veterans Memorial

2016 Veterans Memorial Induction Ceremony

The Veteran's Memorial is an interactive exhibit that is housed in the Health and Human Services Building on LCC's Downtown Campus. The memorial was developed to honor Michigan veterans, with a special emphasis on those in Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties. Local veterans who served with distinction may be nominated for induction into the memorial.

Please join us on November 10, 2017 for the eighth annual Veterans Memorial Induction Ceremony where we will induct Veterans into the LCC Veterans Memorial while honoring local men and women who have served in the armed forces.

How to Nominate a Veteran for Memorial

Lansing Community College is seeking nominations of local men and women who have served in the armed forces with distinguished service. The 3-4 selected veterans will be honored during a ceremony on November 10, 2017 at Lansing Community College.

Nominees may have served in any branch of the service during any military action, conflict, or war. Special emphasis is placed on WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam era veterans. Our goal is to honor local service men and women who, while serving in any capacity in the military, distinguished himself/herself by extraordinary heroism, or other action worthy of this commemoration. The act or acts of heroism must have been so notable and have involved risk of life so extraordinary as to set the individual apart from his or her comrades.

To submit a service member for consideration, please complete the online form or print a hard copy and submit to Andrew Cosgrove.
