- NMU does not grant transfer credit for individual nursing credits. When an associate degree registered nurse applies to the BSN program, transfer credit is first assigned to Liberal Studies, then to nursing pre-requisite
courses that are not part of Liberal Studies, and then to nursing major requirements. Most students also receive departmental advance placement credit to enable them to have 30 credits towards the major.
