I. NURSING PROGRAMS - BACCALAUREATE DEGREE
The following Michigan schools offer nursing programs leading to a Bachelor's
degree. The information for each college should be useful to the Associate
Degree Nursing student wishing to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program.
Ferris State University - Big Rapids
The following admission criteria have been established for BSN Completion
students: full-time, part-time, on-campus, and outreach.
1. Registered Nurse licensed in Michigan.
2. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 in the nursing program (AD or Diploma)
with a minimum "C" (2.00) in each of the required sciences, (no "C-"
grades).

Grand Valley State University - Allendale
1. Minimum admission requirements:
a. Overall GPA of 2.7 (A=4.0) and Admission to GVSU.
b. Graduate of an associate degree program and current MI RN license.
2. Transferability of associate degree nursing courses.
a. Credits determined by examination (other options may be available).
b. Part-time and full-time options of study.
3. Program holds national accreditation.

Lake Superior State University - Sault Ste. Marie
1. Minimum admission requirements:
a. Associate degree or diploma and current or pending R.N. licensure.
b. Minimum GPA of 2.50 in nursing, nursing support and English
courses.
c. Evidence of professional liability insurance, if admitted.
d. TB test or chest x-ray completed within three months of LSSU
enrollment; physical exam; health history; hepatitis B vaccine
series.
e. Evidence of CPR Certification.
f. Both items "d" and "e" are required before taking the first
clinical nursing course.
2. Application deadline: May 1 preceding Fall semester of intended entry.
Applicants notified of admission status within four weeks of
application.
3. Transferability of nursing courses completed in A.D. program: Maximum
of 32 semester credits may be earned after completing LSSU NU 360.
NLN examinations are no longer required.
4. Accreditation: National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission.

Madonna University - Livonia
1. Minimum admission requirements:
a. Graduate of a state approved nursing program.
b. Hold State of Michigan license to practice as a registered nurse.
c. Grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
2. Lansing Community College and Madonna University have signed an
articulation agreement that facilitates the educational mobility for
graduates of the LCC Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program. The
agreement provides:
a. A maximum of 74 credits may be transferred from community college/s.
b. A minimum of 30 credits must be taken at Madonna University.
c. Only courses with a grade of "C" (2.0) or better will transfer.
d. For RN Degree Completion students, science courses with a grade of
"C" (2.0) or better will be transferred from accredited colleges
and universities even if they are more than 10 years old.
e. If the MACRAO Transfer Agreements is satisfied at LCC, the
following Madonna requirements will be fulfilled: Humanities;
Art/Eng/Music; History/Philosophy.
f. Students eligible for this agreement and currently licenses as an
RN in Michigan will have 35 nursing credits transcript for a small
fee after successfully completing 12 credits of study at Madonna
University.

Northern Michigan University - Marquette
1. Minimum admission requirements: 2.75 minimum GPA.
2. Transferability of nursing courses complete in A.D. programs: Students
will be granted 37 semester hours of nursing credit upon completion of
nursing "bridge" concern.
3. Program accredited by the National League of Nursing.

Saginaw Valley State University - University Center
1. This information pertains to LCC Associate in Applied Science Degree
Nursing graduates. Because of the Articulation Agreement between LCC
and SVSU College of Nursing & Health Sciences, LCC graduates will be
considered on an equal basis with SVSU students, provided all entrance
requirements are met. RN's seeking the BSN should consult the SVSU
Catalog for entrance requirements.
2. Graduated within the last ten years with a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
3. Holds a current license to practice as an RN in the State of Michigan.
4. Completion of the SVSU course, NURS 300-Transition, which may result
in 31 semester hours of nursing knowledge.

University of Detroit Mercy - McAuley School of Nursing
1. Minimum admission requirements:
a. Graduate of a state approved nursing program.
b. Hold State of Michigan license to practice as a registered nurse.
c. Meet the university's entrance requirements, and have a minimum
overall cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
2. Lansing Community College and the University of Detroit Mercy have
signed an articulation agreement that facilitates the educational
mobility for graduates of the LCC Associate Degree Nursing (ADN)
program. The agreement provides:
a. A combination of 63 nursing and support credits will be accepted
in transfer.
b. Thirty credits must be taken through UDM.
c. Students who earned a minimum grade of 2.0 in all LCC nursing and
science courses, may transfer (as part of the 63 credits) up to 28
credits of nursing coursework to UDM McAuley School of Nursing.

University of Michigan - Flint
1. Minimum admission requirements:
a. Admission to the University.
b. 2.75 GPA in an ADN program in the USA.
c. Hold license to practice as a registered nurse.
d. Satisfactory performance evaluation.
2. Transferability of courses completed in A.D. program: Advanced
standing in non-nursing courses can be earned by transfer of credits
or by examination.
3. Lansing Community College and the University of Michigan-Flint have
signed an articulation agreement that facilitates the transfer of
nursing and support credits for graduates of the LCC Associate Degree
Nursing (ADN) program.
4. Program approved by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
5. The UM-Flint RN/BSN Program is available to complete online.
6. UM-Flint offers Baccalaureate programs in Health Science, Health Care
Administration, and Health Education for RNs who want to pursue an
alternative career.

Western Michigan University - Kalamazoo
1. Minimum admission requirements:
a. Admissions to Western Michigan University.
b. Graduate of an associate degree nursing program or diploma program
with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a four-point scale.
c. Current Michigan Registered Nurse license.
2. Transferability of courses: Graduates of community college associate
degree and diploma programs will be awarded credit on a course-by-
course basis in accordance with WMU policies for prior general
education, science, and electives. Twenty-nine hours of credit for
prior nursing study and clinical experience will be held in escrow
until the first nursing course in the RN Progression Track of Study
has been completed with a grade of "C" or above.

II. OTHER ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
The program listed below is not a nursing major, but accommodates graduates of
associate degree nursing programs.
Central Michigan University - Mt. Pleasant
A.D. graduates receive automatic nursing minors (24 hours)as part of their
60 semester hours of transferable credit on the Health Administration
major. A copy of a current Michigan R.N. license must be presented with
