NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an Articulation (partnership) Agreement
between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Cleary University (CU) which
allows LCC students who complete an Associate in Business (AB) or
Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree with a concentration in business
or health care, to transfer up to 88 semester credits toward a CU Bachelor of
    Science, Public Accounting degree.
2. LCC students of good academic standing in an associate degree program are
automatically admitted to CU after completing an application and providing
documentation for the Cleary admission requirements. The Cleary application
fee is waived for students under this agreement. Only courses with a grade
of 2.0 or better will be accepted for transfer to Cleary University.
3. The Cleary BS degree requires a total of 180 quarter credits (120 semester
credits). Cleary residency requirement is 48 quarter credits that must be met
by Cleary courses and must include the 30 quarter credits major sequence.
BS students may apply toward the Cleary degree transfer or prior learning
credits up to a total of 133 quarter credits (88 semester credits).
4. Cleary courses for the BS programs are available by distance delivery
methods. The BS Major Courses Sequence is delivered in a cohort schedule
requiring students to take major courses in sequence as a single group
(12 quarter credits per term for 2 1/2 terms).
5. Cleary recognizes the development of college-level competencies in settings
other than the traditional college course. Student may earn up to 30 semester
credits toward a Cleary degree through documentation of prior learning or by
proficiency exam. Former LCC students or graduates enrolled in a Cleary
degree program do not pay any additional fees for prior learning
documentation processing or for credits awarded.
6. Students in the Cleary 3+1 program make extensive use of e-mail, internet
resources, and MS Office applications to complete coursework on-ground and
over the internet. Students that do not meet Cleary's minimum entry
technology skills requirement may need additional coursework to acquire these
skills. Program coursework prepares students with the unique skills needed to
use the eCleary class delivery format, Cleary's internet-based instructional
    system.
7. Courses listed under Requirements and Limited Choices above meet the Cleary
    Competency Core course requirements.
8. ECON 201 and 202 are part of the Cleary Business Core course requirements.
9. Students are encouraged to meet with the Cleary advisors (see contact
information below) regarding transferability of completed courses and/or any
additional courses needed prior to transfer.
10. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements. See the LCC Catalog for details.
11. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
