NOTES:
1. This transfer guide supports an Articulation (partnership) Agreement between
Lansing Community College (LCC)and Ferris State University (Ferris),
facilitating the transfer of 102 credits of LCC course work toward the
completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management at the Big
Rapids campus. This articulated agreement will terminate on July 1, 2013.
2. See the MACRAO Transfer Agreement for appropriate LCC courses. Final
responsibility for verifying all transfer information lies with the student.
3. Students transferring to Ferris must complete the MACRAO Transfer Agreement
with the MACRAO Satisfied stamp on their transcripts and a 2.00 cumulative
GPA prior to transferring OR meet the FSU General Education Requirements.
Ferris honors the MACRAO stamp on an official transcript as fulfilling lower
level general education courses that are not programmatic or prerequisite
requirements.
4. Students are encouraged to meet with an advisor early in their program to
ensure appropriate course selection to meet graduation requirements.
5. Required courses: Global Consciousness and Race/Ethnicity/Gender. The
Global Consciousness requirement must be met through Cultural Enrichment,
Social Awareness, General Education, or Major Courses, unless the MACRAO
stamp is identified.
6. Students must earn 40 credits hours at the 300/400 level to graduate. A
minimum of 30 credits must be FSU credits and a minimum of 130 credits must
be earned. The College of Business requires a minimum of 48 credits in
general education for accreditation.
7. Students may substitute with WRIT 131 and 132.
8. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements. See the LCC Online Catalog for details.
9. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
registration. For testing hours call (517) 267-5500.
