The following is a guide for students who wish to begin their coursework at 
Lansing Community College and transfer into any program at Bennett College.
Bennett College is a four-year liberal arts women's college in Greensboro, North
Carolina. Founded in 1873, this historically black institution began as a normal 
school to provide education to newly emancipated salves. It became a women's
college in 1926 and currently serves over 700 undergraduates.  
The General Education Requirements for Bennett College are listed below:

A. English: 6 credit hours 
   LCC Equivalent: WRIT 121; WRIT/ENGL 122
B. Foreign Language: 6 credit hours
   FREN/SPAN sequential or other approved foreign language.
   LCC Equivalent: FREN/SPAN 121 and 122 or 201 and 202
C. Introduction to Research Methods: 3 credit hours
   No equivalent
D. Mathematics: 6 credit hours
   Selected per curriculum pattern.

1. This transfer guide represents the Articulation (partnership) Agreement 
   between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Bennett College (BC). This 
   agreement facilitates the transfer of eligible LCC credits into a Bennett
   College baccalaureate degree program for qualified LCC students. Students 
   planning to enroll in a program that will transfer to Bennett College are
   encouraged to contact the HBCU Coordinator at LCC (see below). This
   articulated agreement expires in January 2014.
2. Admissions and Academic Requirements:
   a. A minimum 2.0 GPA and good standing.
   b. No course with a grade below 2.0 will transfer.
   c. A minimum of 58 transferable semester hours is required for junior status.
3. Forty hours of volunteer community service (which may be fulfilled over the
   four years of study) is also required.
4. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
