NOTES:
1. Oakland University honors the MACRAO Transfer Agreement.  Students whose 
   transcripts are endorsed as "MACRAO Satisfied" will only be required to 
   fulfill the following three general education requirements at OU:
   a. writing intensive course in the major;
   b. capstone course;
   c. knowledge application course.
2. Students not completing the MACRAO will be required to meet the Oakland
   University General Education Requirements. U.S. Diversity courses (excluding
   SPCH 280) may be double-counted in a Knowledge Explorations area.  ANTH 270
   may be used to satisfy Global perspective OR Social Science, not both.
3. The College of Arts & Sciences requires 12 additional credits selected from 
   3 of the 6 distribution fields listed below. Courses taken for General 
   Education may not be applied to the distribution requirements, except for
   second semester foreign language.
   Foreign Language (second semester course or higher); Arts & Literature (one
   additional course); Civilization (one additional course from Western 
   Civilization); Social Sciences (one additional course); Mathematics 
   (satisfied by major); and Science (additional 4 credits in BIOL, CHEM or 
   PHYS).
4. Students may transfer one-half (62) of the credits required for the 
   baccalaureate degree. Consult with an OU College of Arts & Sciences adviser 
   to confirm transferability of electives you select to bring your transfer 
   credit total to 62 credit hours.
5. A minimum of 32 credits must be taken at Oakland University.
6. OU requires a minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 2.5.  Since some programs
   require a higher GPA the student is encouraged to consult with an OU
   advisor as early as possible. 
7. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
   requirements including the LCC general education core requirements.  See the

8. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and 
   writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the 
   Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
