NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents a 2+2 articulation (partnership) agreement
between Kaplan University (KU) and Lansing Community College (LCC) that
facilitates the transfer of an LCC associate degree toward the completion of
a bachelor degree at KU.  This program is intended to maximize a student's
transfer credit, and ensure completion of both prerequisites and general
education requirements at the bachelor degree level.
2. Kaplan University offers the following online Bachelor of Science in Criminal
Justice emphasis areas: Computer Crime, Corrections, Crime Scene Investi-
gation, Forensic Security, Homeland Security, Juvenile Justice, and Law
Enforcement. To ensure maximum course transferability and prerequisite
completion for the Criminal Justice major, KU recommends students begin with
an LCC associate degree in Criminal Justice.
3. Admission to Kaplan University:
   a. LCC students who have completed an associate degree program consisting of
a minimum of 60 semester credits will be eligible for a block transfer
of those credits and acceptance into an "advanced start" bachelor degree
      program at KU.
   b. LCC students who have not yet completed an associate degree program must
submit a letter from the LCC Registrar's Office indicating that the student
is in good standing, the expected date of graduation, the expected associ-
ate degree to be earned, and the program/major.  Upon graduation, the
student must submit proof of having been awarded an associate degree.
4. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduations
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements.  See the
LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog for additional details.
5. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GVT 200) prior to
registration.  For testing hours call (517) 267-5500.
