1.  This transfer guide represents an Articulation (partnership) Agreement between
    the University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) and Lansing Community College 
    (LCC). This agreement is in effect through June 30, 2014, and will
    automatically renew up to 2017.
2.  See the University of Michigan-Flint General Education Requirements guide for
    appropriate LCC course selection. Students are encouraged to meet with the 
    advisor listed below when making course selections.
3.  The UM-Flint graduation requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing 
    include completion of the General Education requirements specified for the
    School of Health Professions and Studies, required prerequisite courses, and
    RN/BSN program specific courses.
4.  LCC students will be guaranteed admission to the UM-Flint RN/BSN program upon
    meeting program admission requirements including:
    a. Meet admissions requirements at UM-Flint.
    b. Be a graduate of a state-approved nursing program, and must be eligible to
       sit for the NCLEX-RN licensing exam to practice as a registered nurse in
       the U.S.A. 
    c. Must have earned at least a 2.75 GPA in the AAS in Nursing program and a
       satisfactory RN performance evaluation.  An applicant with a lower GPA must
       complete 9 credits of coursework at UM-Flint with a "B" (3.0) or better
       GPA before beginning the RN to BSN program core curriculum.

5.  Dual enrollment as a Guest Student is available to LCC students who wish to 
    begin taking UM-Flint requirements while still taking courses at LCC.  In 
    addition to general education courses, LCC students can take NSC 208 or 209,
    and/or a variety of nursing electives while completing courses in the LCC 
    RN program.
6.  A credit by examination option is available to satisfy the requirements for
    UM-Flint's NSC 209 Nutrition, NSC 210 Pathophysiology, and NSC 235
7.  A transfer student from LCC desiring to complete the BSN degree must earn a
    minimum of 45 credits at UM-Flint, including the last 30 credits.
    The UM-Flint Office of Admissions does not limit the number of transfer
    credits. Among the graduation requirements for the UM-Flint BSN degree is
    completion of a total of 120 credit hours. All other standard admission,
    curriculum and graduation requirements of LCC, UM-Flint and UM-Flint's School
    of Health Professions and Studies Department of Nursing must be met.
8.  MATH 121 with 122, or MATH 126 are also options to meet this requirement.
9.  Options to meet the Humanities requirement include: ARTS 130,211,212;
    ENGL 201,202,256,270; HUMS 125,140,160; RELG 211,212; THEA 210.
10. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
    requirements. See the LCC Catalog for details.
11. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and 
    writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the 
    Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
