NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an articulation (partnership) agreement between
   Lansing Community College (LCC) and Western Michigan University (WMU) that 
   facilitates the transfer of LCC's Aviation Flight Technology Program students
   to the WMU Bachelor of Science in Aviation Flight Science Program.
2. Student procedure to enter the WMU Aviation Flight Science Program:
   a. Enroll in LCC in the Aviation Flight Technology Program.
   b. Complete Private (ASEL), Commercial and Instrument (ASEL/AMEL) Certifica-
      tion at LCC.
   c. Complete the LCC Aviation Flight Technology Associate in Applied Science
      Degree Program and additional coursework required for this LCC-WMU partner-
      ship.
   d. Apply to WMU, seeking the Bachelor of Science in Aviation Flight Science.
   e. Have LCC send an Official Transcript to the WMU Admissions Office.
   f. Be admitted to WMU (refer to the WMU Transfer Admissions Requirements at
      http://www.wmich.edu/admissions/transfer/.
   g. Once LCC/WMU articulation agreement requirements are met, the designated
      transfer credits will be applied to the WMU Aviation Flight Science Degree
      Program under the university's maximum transfer credit allowed.
   h. Contact the WMU College of Aviation Academic Advising Office (269-387-0347)
      for degree planning and registration.
   i. Meet with the WMU Chief Flight Instructor for the Special Flight Courses
      (AVS 4020 and 4970).
3. LCC students who have their Certified Flight Instructor Certificate may 
   substitute the experience for the following WMU requirements:  AVS 1220 - 
   Aircraft Systems and AVS 1230 - Aircraft Systems Lab.
4. Courses designated by this note may substitute for the following WMU reqire-
   ment:  LCC's AVFT 220 = AVS 3190 at WMU; LCC's GEOG 121 = GEOG 1050 at WMU;
   LCC's STAT 215 = STAT 2160 at WMU.
5. To meet the Global Perspectives & Diversity requirement select 3-4 credits 
   from:  ENGL 211,212; HUMS 160,211,212,213,214; or MUSC 240,241.
6. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
   requirements including the LCC general education core requirements.  See the 
   LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog for additional details.
7. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and 
   writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the 
   Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
