NOTES:
1. Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) will accept transfer credit from
Lansing Community College (LCC) as outlined in the SCAD course catalog. SCAD
does not accept physical education, pre-college, developmental, remedial or
non-credit courses. All other courses will be evaluated for transfer credit,
to determine course equivalency, based upon course content and level of
instruction. The majority of studio-based courses are evaluated for transfer
    credit based upon portfolio review.
2. A maximum of 90 quarter hours of undergraduate credit may be given for
courses appropriate to the SCAD curriculum. Only courses with grades of 2.0
or higher may be transferred. The portfolio review is required for transfer
of specific studio courses during the student's first quarter of enrollment
at SCAD and for final determination of transfer credit.
3. Although SCAD policy states that students may transfer a maximum of 90
quarter credit hours, student who transfer an average of one year of LCC
classes traditionally have fewer sequencing issues upon transfer to SCAD.
4. SCAD will work to advise potential transfer students from LCC of the number
of credits that can transfer based upon the completed course of study.
5. Courses listed on this transfer guide currently transfer to SCAD for all
majors with the exception of the architecture program.
