NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an articulation (partnership) agreement
between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Eastern Michigan University (EMU)
that facilitates the transfer of up to 92 credits from LCC Associate in
Business in Management (0245) toward the EMU Bachelor of Business Administra-
tion degree, with an approved business major. This agreement is effective
from September 1, 2008 until August 31, 2011.
2. Eastern Michigan University (EMU) honors the MACRAO Transfer Agreement.
Students whose transcripts are endorsed as "MACRAO Satisfied" will only be
required to meet three EMU general education requirements. The following
requirements may be completed at the most appropriate time for the student,
whether before or after enrollment at EMU:
a. an approved course in Quantitative Reasoning: [MATH 130 at LCC]
b. an approved course in Perspectives on a Diverse World [MGMT 234 at LCC]
c. an approved Learning Beyond the Classroom course/experience at EMU.
To use MACRAO, students should request a MACRAO evaluation of their tran-
script from the LCC Registrar's Office. Students who do not satisfy MACRAO
are required to complete the EMU General Education Requirements.
3. Only courses with a grade of a 2.0 or better will be accepted for transfer to
EMU. Only courses in which at least a 2.0 is received will be applied to
MACRAO by LCC.
4. A minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.0 is required for admission to EMU. Students
with a community college GPA of 3.0 or higher will be admitted directly to
the EMU College of Business without a probationary semester. Students whose
community college GPA is less than 3.0 may apply to be conditionally admitted
to the College of Business for the first semester at EMU and will be
regularly admitted after successful completion of at least 12 credits at EMU
with a minimum overall EMU GPA of 2.50.
5. Student should contact the EMU College of Business Undergraduate Advising
Office early, before completing an admissions application to EMU. To
facilitate the evaluation of transcript/s, students should attach a copy of
this articulation guide in their application to EMU and bring a copy of the
articulation guide to all advising sessions.
6. Under this agreement, LCC students may be granted several waivers from the
EMU College of Business. Students should see the EMU College of Business
advisor to request these waivers:
a. Students who complete LCC's LABR 200 and MGMT 224/337 with a 2.0 or higher
will receive a waiver of EMU's MGMT 384.
b. Students who complete LCC's MGMT 228 and MGMT 225/300 with a 2.0 or higher
will receive a waiver of EMU's MGMT 386.
7. MGMT 300, 304, and 337 from LCC's Advanced Management Certificate may be
substituted for MGMT 224, 225, and 231/237.

the MACRAO humanities requirement.
9. Complete a minimum of 4 credit hours from courses approved by LCC to satisfy
the MACRAO lab science requirement.

graduation requirements. See the LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog
for additional details.
