NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an articulation (partnership) agreement
between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Central Michigan University (CMU)
which facilitates the transfer of LCC students to CMU's Elementary Education
program with a major in Integrated Science and minor in Reading. A maximum
of 94 credits may be completed and transferred from LCC to CMU for this
program; students will complete a minimum of 66 CMU credits for a total of
160 credits required for this bachelor degree. All coursework for this
program can be completed in the Lansing area with the possible exception of
    the student teaching requirement.
COMPETENCY CHANGE:  As of August 2007, all CMU students (including those
who transfer to CMU) are required to complete CMU General Education
requirements for all competencies (i.e., Written English, Oral English, and

for teacher certification. All courses must be taken for a grade, not for

to CMU will count in the calculation of the major GPA. A minimum 2.7 GPA
(B-) must be earned in all teaching majors.
4. LCC's ARTS 240 will transfer as ART 345 if EDUC 201 and 220 are taken prior

    the appropriate CMU department.
