NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an articulation (Partnership) agreement
between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Ferris State University (Ferris).
This 1+1 agreement facilitates the transfer of LCC students to the Respiratory
Care A.A.S. Degree program at Ferris which can be completed on LCC's campus
   through traditional or online courses.
2. LCC students with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of a 2.50
may apply to the Associate Program at Ferris. If the qualified student is
admitted, Ferris shall permit the transfer of the LCC credits listed on this
transfer guide toward the Ferris Associate Program. Ferris will not grant
transfer credit for courses with a grade below a 2.0.
3. Students may concurrently take courses at both institutions, however, federal
regulations require that students receive financial aid from only a single
college during a given semester. Financial aid recipients should take all of
their courses in a given semester at either Ferris or LCC.
4. A minimum of 77 semester hours must be completed for graduation from the
Respiratory care A.A.S. program at Ferris. At least 30 of those credits must
be taken through Ferris to fulfill Ferris residency requirements.
5. To graduate from the A.A.S. program at Ferris, students must have a 2.0
cumulative GPA in all Ferris courses, and a 2.0 in their major.
6. To fulfill the Cultural Enrichment requirements, students may select one 3-4
credit course from: art, art history, foreign languages, history, humanities,
IMAG 101, literature, music, theatre, WRIT 260,270.
7. To fulfill the Social Awareness requirement, students may select one 3-4
   credit course from:  ANTH 270,275; ECON 201,202; GEOG 200; POLS 120,260,270;
   PSYC 200,202,211,222; SOCL 120,255,260.
8. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements.  See the
LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog for additional details.
9. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
registration.  For testing hours call (517) 267-5500.
