NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an articulation (partnership) agreement
between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Central Michigan University's
(CMU) Off Campus Programs (Lansing site).
COMPETENCY CHANGE: As of August 2007, all CMU students (including those
who transfer to CMU) are required to complete CMU General Education
requirements for all competencies (i.e., Written English, Oral English, and
Mathematics) before completing 56 hours of coursework.
2. This agreement facilitates the transfer of LCC students pursuing an Associate
in Applied Science degree in Human Services to the CMU Bachelor of Science
degree with an option in Community Development. Students may pursue a concen-
tration in Community Services, Health Sciences, or Public Administration.
3. BIOL 145 is required for students who select the Health Sciences
concentration.
4. This course fulfills a portion of the LCC General Education Core requirements.
5. MATH 112, 121 or higher must be taken to fulfill the LCC General Education
Core and concurrently meet CMU's mathematics competency requirement.
6. Select one course from: GERO 203; HUSE 110,112; SOWK 205.
7. Students seeking a degree in Human Services from LCC must complete the
required practicum courses included within the desired Specialization
subchoice (see the LCC Human Services Associate in Applied Science curriculum
guide for more details). Although CMU does not grant transfer credit for
these experiences, students may earn Prior Learning credit at CMU.
8. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the
LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog for additional details.
9. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
registration. For testing hours call (517) 267-5500.
