NOTES:
1. This Transfer Guide is based upon an Articulation Agreement that was developed
to facilitate the transfer of students who have earned an associate degree from
LCC to a bachelor degree program at the University of Phoenix. Degree programs
include: A BSB in Accounting, Administration, E-Business, Management, and
Marketing; or a BS in Information Technology, Management, Criminal Justice
Administration, Human Services, Health Care Services; and a Nursing (RN to BSN
   completion) program.
2. Students may transfer all credits earned for an LCC associate degree as a block
toward a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Phoenix. A maximum of
60-69 credits will transfer for most majors, with the Management bachelor
degree program accepting up to 72 transfer credits. Although credits will be
accepted in transfer, additional general education credits may be needed to
fulfill specific bachelor degree program requirements.
3. Students must demonstrate proficiency in English, Mathematics, and Critical
Thinking. Proficiency requirements must be met prior to entering the fourth
course in the University Major Course of Study at U of P. The proficiencies
will be waived for students who have completed any of the listed courses with
   a grade of 2.0 or above within the past two years:  English - ENGL 122,132;
   WRIT 121,122,131,132,260,264,270,279,280; Mathematics - MATH 121,122,126,
   130,141,151,152,253,254,260; Critical Thinking - PHIL 151.
4. Students may complete courses at the Lansing campus, online, or with a
"Flexnet" arrangement where the first and last weeks' class would be held in a
classroom, and the remainder of the course work would be presented in an online
format. Classes are typically offered one night per week for 5-6 weeks per
course, or can be taken on the weekends.
5. Student who are within 12 months of the completion of their associate degree
may pre-apply to the University of Phoenix baccalaureate program and will be
granted access to the U of P proficiency assessment system and the University
Library Online Collection. Continued access to these services following the
12-month period will require students to be enrolled in the University.
6. Students who complete the U of P BS in Management program may list the earned
LCC Associate Degree as an area of emphasis on the baccalaureate transcript and
   University of Phoenix diploma.
7. At the time an associate degreed student enrolls in the final University of
Phoenix course required for the bachelor degree, the tuition will be waived for
that course if the student has remained in continuous enrollment and is in
   good academic standing.
