LANSING COMMUNITY COLLEGE
TRANSFER GUIDE
Curriculum: Information Technology, University of Phoenix
Curriculum Code: 1222
TOTAL CREDITS 60
NOTES:
1. This Transfer Guide is based upon an Articulation Agreement that was developed
to facilitate the transfer of students who have earned an associate degree
from LCC to a bachelor degree program at the University of Phoenix.
2. All credit from associate degrees (including vocational degrees), awarded by
Lansing Community College will transfer to the University of Phoenix, meaning
that all associate degree-related courses, subject to program limitations
detailed on the transfer literature, will automatically transfer.
Although credits will be accepted in transfer, additional general education
credits may be needed to fulfill the program requirements.
Students from LCC will be granted admission to a baccalaureate degree program
at the University of Phoenix based on academic requirements as a result of
having earned an associate degree and upon further satisfaction of all other
conditions for admission as stated in the University Catalog. University of
Phoenix admission requirements may be viewed at http://www.phoenix.edu.
3. Students who have earned an Associate degree and have completed a comparable
mathematic or communication arts course through an approved articulation
agreement prior to their application may have satisfied University of Phoenix
math and communication arts prerequisites. Transfer credit may be used by
students who have achieved a "C-" or better in a comparable course (College
Algebra or College Composition) with a minimum of 2.67 semester credits at a
regionally or approved nationally accredited institution. Transfer courses
used for math and communication arts prerequisites must be eligible to receive
general education credit. UOP credits remaining will depend on additional
credits earned.
4. Students may complete courses at the Lansing Learning Center or online.
Classes are typically offered one night per week for 5-6 weeks per course, or
can be taken on the weekends.
5. Students who are within 12 months of the completion of their associate degree
may pre-apply to the University of Phoenix baccalaureate program and will be
granted access to the University of Phoenix proficiency assessment system and
the University Library Online Collection. Continued access to these services
following the 12-month period will require students to be enrolled in the
University.
6. At the time a student with an associate degree enrolls in the final University
of Phoenix course required for the bachelor degree, the tuition will be waived
for that course if the student has remained in continuous enrollment and is in
good academic standing.
