The following is a guide for students who wish to begin their coursework at
Lansing Community College (LCC) and transfer into any program at Wayne State
University (WSU).
University General Education Requirements must be met for a degree at Wayne
State University, regardless of College or Major. There are Competency
Requirements and Group Requirements, which must be completed prior to gradua-
tion from WSU. No more than two Group requirements may be satisfied by
courses in the same Wayne State department. Exposure Area Requirements may
also fulfill other requirements.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has additional General Education
Requirements of a bachelor's degree for any of their programs. These must
be completed prior to graduation from Wayne State University. Choose one

NOTES:
1. Students who transfer to Wayne State University (WSU) from a Michigan
community college with an Associate of Arts (AA), and Associate of Science
(AS) degree, or with a MACRAO-stamped transcript, are admitted with lower
division University general education requirements considered fulfilled.
After transfer to WSU, students will complete courses specific to the
graduation requirements of their individual department or college.
2. Certain programs require specific courses to fulfill General Education
Requirements. Contact an Advisor at Wayne State University for a complete
major plan. For WSU program information call (800) WSU-INFO.
3. Not more than 64 hours from a two-year school will apply toward a WSU
degree, though all earned hours which transfer will be listed on the WSU
transcript.
4. LCC courses other than those appearing on this guide should be checked
for transferability to the four-year institution.
