GENERAL EDUCATION
The following list of courses is a suggested guide for Lansing Community
College students who plan to transfer. Students are advised to consult the
current College Catalog when planning a transfer program.
One course must be chosen from each of the following eight General Education
categories and must total 32 semester credits:

WRITING PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS
Oakland University requires the following classes for graduation:
Rhetoric 150, 160 WRIT 121 & 122 or 131 & 132
NOTES:
1. Students may transfer one-half of the credits required for the baccalaureate
degree. A minimum of 32 credits must be taken at Oakland University.
2. Students whose transcripts are stamped "MACRAO Agreement Satisfied" will
have substantially satisfied the University's General Education r
equirements.
3. Note that PHYS 201, 202, and 215 were removed from the Natural Science and
Technology category above. The courses were discontinued Summer 2003 and
LCC has not receive course equivalencies for the replacement courses (PHYS
221, 222, and 251). Students should verify transferability with Oakland
University prior to taking any course/s not listed on this guide.
