NOTES:
1. Concordia University participates in the MACRAO Transfer Agreement with
the proviso that students coming to Concordia must include one course in
mathematics beyond intermediate algebra and one course in public speaking.
Completion of the MACRAO Agreement and Concordia's provisos may waive
General Studies Requirements. Students should discuss this option with the
Concordia University representative listed at the bottom of this guide.
2. The General Studies Requirements for Concordia's Accelerated Degree
Program apply to the following majors: Business Administration and
Leadership, Communication, Criminal Justice Administration, Hospitality
Management, and Public Service.
3. The Accelerated Degree Program at Concordia offers majors in a non-
traditional accelerated format that is convenient for the adult with work
and/or family obligations. Classes center on career, family, and life
experiences in a Christian university environment. Course content draws
heavily on past work experience, and classes are conducted in an informal,
seminar style with extensive faculty-student interaction using a writing
intensive model. Classes are taught in succession, meeting once each week
for 3 1/2 hours.
4. Admission Requirements:
a. Completed application form available online.
b. Proof of college transcripts.
c. Complete the appropriate English Composition with a minimum grade of
"C-" (1.6667) or above.
d. Must pass the Math Placement Tests or have completed the appropriate
developmental course with a minimum grade of "C-" (1.6667) or above
within the last three years.
e. Must have English proficiency.
f. Must be at least 23 years of age.
g. Have at least three years full-time work experience.
5. Students can earn credits by demonstrating and documenting learning gained
from professional licenses and/or certificates and training seminars, or
writing a college level paper documenting learning acquired from
experiences.
6. LCC courses other than those appearing on this guide should be
checked for transferability to the four-year institution.
