To provide a broad education and a solid foundation for all fields of
concentration and to achieve the major objective of each area, students must
complete courses or demonstrate proficiency in each of the areas as
prescribed. Completion of LCC courses in the categories listed below will
meet all general education requirements except for history.

NOTES:
1. Only courses which are graded "C" (2.0) or higher will be transferable.
2. A maximum of 62 semester credits may be transferred from a two-year
institution. This is not a comprehensive list of all LCC courses that
will transfer to Alma College. Please provide Alma College's Admissions
Office with a copy of your transcript as early as possible to develop a
transfer plan.
3. Students must demonstrate proficiency in mathematics after arrival at
Alma College. The computation literacy is based on ACT math score or by
a math placement exam administered during transfer student orientation.
4. The Alma College Philosophy and Religion Departments determines applic-
ability of Philosophy and Religion classes to Alma College's Distributive
Requirements. Check with the Registrar's Office at Alma College for
details.
5. The Alma College History department determines applicability of History
classes to Alma College Distributive Requirements. Check with the
Registrar's Office at Alma College for details.
6. Transferred credit must be documented upon receipt of an official tran-
script from each institution attended.
7. LCC courses other than those appearing on this guide should be
checked for transferability to the four-year institution.
