                        MACRAO TRANSFER AGREEMENT
Transfer students who have completed their general education requirements at a
Michigan community colleges under the MACRAO (Michigan Association of Collegiate
Registrars and Admissions Officers) Transfer Agreement typically have met the
core Liberal Studies requirements in College Composition, Humanities, Science/
Mathematics, and the Social Sciences divisions. Transfer students under the
MACRAO agreement must complete the additional Liberal Studies requirements beyond
the 30 semester credits satisfied by the MACRAO Transfer Agreement, usually at
the upper division level. Students who qualify under the MACRAO Transfer Agree-
ment should be sure to inform their advisors of this fact. Students entering NMU
under the MACRAO Transfer Agreement must only have attended a Michigan community
college.

NOTES:
1. LCC courses other than those appearing on this guide should be checked for
   transferability to the four-year institution.
2. Students should verify transferability with Northern Michigan University
prior to taking any course/s not listed on this guide.
