AREA V: Learning Beyond the Classroom (M 1 course or experience) This requirement must be completed at EMU. (M) One of three MACRAO provisos. (*) Course may not be applied to more than one general education area. NOTES: 1. A single course can be used to meet only one general education requirement. 2. A student must earn a minimum of two (2) credit hours in a course to be used to meet EMU's General Education Requirements. 3. Students must earn a minimum of a 2.0 in order for a course to be eligible for transfer credit. Courses below 100-level do not transfer to EMU. 4. The major or minor declared by a student may encourage specific general education courses. If one is available, refer to the transfer guide for the selected major. 5. There is no limit to the number of credits that may be transferred to EMU. However, a minimum of 60 credits must be completed at a four-year institu- tion, 30 of which must be earned at EMU. 6. EMU honors the MACRAO Transfer Agreement. To use the MACRAO agreement, an official community college transcript stamped "MACRAO Satisfied" must be sent to EMU's Office of Admissions. This agreement applies only to general education requirements. Students are required to fulfill all major, minor, and graduation requirements. All transfer students are required to complete one quantitative reasoning (QR) requirement, one diversity requirement (US or global awareness), and one learning beyond the class (LBC) course or experience. LBC must be completed at EMU.
