2. Additional General Education requirements for the Chemistry program include:
additional science; additional social science; and civilizations and
societies courses.
3. The maximum number of credits that will transfer to WSU from a two-
year school is 64 semester hours. Students are encouraged to work closely
with the WSU advisor when selecting courses.
4. The BS in Chemistry meets the requirements of the American Chemical Society's
Committee on Professional Training and is designed primarily for students who
plan to enter the chemical profession or other professional fields.
5. A concentration in biochemistry is available for students who are interested
in medicine or dentistry.
6. To meet the requirement in Foreign Language, the Department of Chemistry
recommends taking German, French, or Russian.
7. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduations
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the
