NOTES:
1. This transfer guide supports an articulation (partnership) agreement between
Lansing Community College (LCC) and Ferris State University (Ferris). This
program has been designed in two formats, one for students who enter the
program as freshmen or who transfer into the program after having completed
an associate degree, and the second for students who wish to complete a
bachelor's degree while enrolled in a clinical associate degree program.
2. Graduates of the health career related associate degree programs (nursing,
dental hygiene, radiologic technology, etc.) are encouraged to discuss
the FSU Health Care Systems Administration option with the Ferris Program
Coordinator (see below).
3. Students must complete the MACRAO Transfer Agreement with the MACRAO Stamp
on their transcripts. Students having completed MACRAO will be required to
complete one of the 300-Level Advanced English courses at Ferris.
4. Students not completing the MACRAO must meet the Ferris General Education
Requirements with a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students must meet with the transfer
advisor (see below) when selecting courses to meet the FSU General Education
requirements.
5. Application/Admissions Requirements:
a. Transfer students must be admitted 21 days prior to the first day of the
semester they plan to attend.
b. A 2.5 overall GPA is required for admission to the HCSA degree program.
c. Official college transcripts must be submitted at time of application.
d. It is recommended that applicants have a strong preparation in English,
speech communications, and computer science.
6. MATH 112 satisfies LCC Core and the FSU major requirement; MATH 121 satisfies
LCC Core, MACRAO, and the FSU major requirement.
7. WRIT 131 and 132 or ENGL 122 may be substituted for WRIT 121 and 122.
8. PHIL 260 does not meet MACRAO. Students selecting PHIL 260 are still
required to complete 8 credits of MACRAO approved humanities.
9. Students should work with a FSU advisor when selecting electives.
10. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the
LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog for additional details.
11. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
registration. For testing hours call (517) 267-5500.
