NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an articulation (partnerhship) agreement
between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Ferris State University (FSU) and
is designed for students who have complete or are completing on of the follow-
ing LCC degrees: AS in Biology, AAS in Chemical Technology, or AAS in
Molecular Biotechnology. Graduates of these programs who have earned a minimum
of a 2.00 cumulative GPA or higher will be permitted to transfer all credits
in the Associate Program toward the Bachelors Program at FSU.
2. See the MACRAO Transfer Agreement for appropriate LCC courses.
3. FSU Application Deadlines: Transfer students must be admitted 21 days prior
to the first day of the semester they plan to attend.
4. FSU Admission Requirements: Transfer students must have at least 12 credits
at the time of application with a minimum 2.00 overall GPA including an
English and mathematics course or they will be considered first year students
and must meet the freshman admission criteria.
5. FSU General education Requirements:
a. Upon completion of the General Education courses outlined in this transfer
guide, students will have completed MACRAO.
b. Students must have the MACRAO Stamp on their college transcript in order
to qualify for having met MACRAO.
c. Students having completed MACRAO will be required to complete one of the
300-level Advanced English courses at FSU.
d. Students not completing MACRAO must complete the FSU General Education
Requirements with a 2.00 cumulative GPA.

6. FSU Bachelor Degree Graduation Requirements:
a. 2.00 cumulative GPA in all courses. No grade lower than C- in science or
math courses allowed for graduation.
b. 30 minimum FSU semester hours must be completed to fulfill FSU residency
requirements.
c. A total of 121 credit hours are required for graduation in this major.
7. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the

8. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
