NOTES:
1. This program meets the requirements of the MACRAO Transfer Agreement upon
completion of a laboratory science courses. The GVSU minimum transfer admis-
sion grade point average is 2.50.
2. Students will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in English composition
upon transferring to Grand Valley State University. Please consult the GVSU
Admissions Office for further details. LCC courses other than those appear-
ing on this guide should be checked for transferability to the four-year
institution.
3. To fulfill the Math/Science requirement, select courses which complete the
MACRAO Transfer Agreement Science/ Mathematics requirements and additional
credits in support of the teaching major.
4. The School of Education offers programs leading to the bachelor's degree and
Michigan Provisional Certification. Certification is available in elementary
general education, secondary general education, or elementary education with
special education endorsement.
5. Programs are approved by the Michigan Department of Education and accredited
by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
6. Secondary Education program deadlines for application are: September 15 for
winter admission and field placement; February 1 for fall admission and field
placement. Application packets are available in the School of Education.
7. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the

8. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
