NOTES:
1. This program meets the requirements of the MACRAO Transfer Agreement upon
completion of a laboratory science course. The GVSU minimum transfer
admission grade point average is 2.50.
2. Students will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in English composition
upon transferring to Grand Valley State University. Please consult the GVSU
Admissions Office for further details. LCC courses, other than those appear-
ing on this guide, should be checked for transferability to the four-year
institution.
3. Degrees offered: BA and BS. Students seeking the BA degree must demonstrate
third semester proficiency in a foreign language.
4. The Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology Departments cooperate to offer a
major in behavioral science for students who want a broad background in the
behavioral sciences. Students may concentrate in either Psychology or
Sociology. Courses are selected in consultation with the students' GVSU
advisor from such courses as human heredity, statistics, and advanced courses
in philosophy, political science, economics, or history.
5. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the

6. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
