NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an articulation (partnership) agreement that
exists between the College for Creative Studies (CCS) and Lansing Community
College (LCC). Any student who has completed the AAS Photographic Imaging
program at LCC may transfer the credits indicated on this transfer guide
toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at CCS.
2. The bachelor's degree graduation requirements for students who follow this
agreement are as follows:
a. Complete the Associate in Applied Science in Photographic Imaging at LCC
and the coordinated program of study for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Photography at CCS.
b. The academic transcript and the quality of the student's portfolio deter-
mine transfer credit. Only courses with a grade of 2.0 or better will be
accepted for transfer to CCS.
c. When applying to CCS, an official transcript from LCC must be sent to
the CCS Admissions Office.
d. Under this agreement, students may transfer additional courses beyond the
total for the associate degree. A minimum of 45 credit hours must be taken
at CCS and a minimum of 126 credit hours, complete in-residency or
accepted in transfer, is required for graduation.
e. Students must meet all admission requirements at the time of admission to
CCS, including submitting a portfolio and transcripts form all previously-
attended colleges indicating a 2.50 cumulative GPA.
f. Students interested in transferring to CCS should contact the CCS
Admissions Office before completing an admission application to CCS. To
facilitate the evaluation of transcript/s, students should bring a copy
of this articulation agreement to all advising sessions.
3. This agreement is effective as of Winter 2007 until Winter 2010. Students who
began LCC's program prior to the effective date of this agreement may use the
agreement to the extent that the program requirements followed are consistent
with the agreement.
4. ARTS 102 fulfills the LCC Communications Core General Education requirement.
5. Students seeking an additional LCC associate degree must fulfill specific
graduations requirements. See the LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog
for additional details.
5. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GVT 200) prior to
