NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents an articulation (partnership) agreement
between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Central Michigan University (CMU)
that facilitates the transfer of students who complete an associate degree
at LCC to a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at CMU. Students who
have earned an associated degree with a concentration in business
administration and achieved a cumulative GPA of a 2.50 or higher may transfer
all credits earned at LCC to CMU and will be admitted to the Junior class
level and considered as having fulfilled the MACRAO Transfer Agreement at
CMU's University Program.
COMPETENCY CHANGE: As of August 2007, all CMU students (including those
who transfer to CMU) are required to complete CMU General Education
requirements for all competencies (i.e., Written English, Oral English, and
Mathematics) before completing 56 hours of coursework. (See Note 4)
2. To complete requirements for graduation from CMU, students who follow this
articulation agreement must also:
a. Complete a minimum of 33 hours scheduled through the College of Business
Administration at CMU and must include MGT 495.
b. Complete the remaining program requirements, distribution requirements,
and other College of Business Administration requirements.
c. Apply and be admitted to the College of Business Administration Program at
CMU. By completing this articulation agreement, a student will be granted
admissions to Professional Business Studies as soon as he/she begins the
academic coursework at CMU, however, continued admission requires that
he/she must earn a 2.50 GPA or higher during his/her first semester and
complete any additional courses required for admissions. Graduates of
LCC will receive equal consideration with other students seeking admission.
3. Available Business majors include: Accounting, Accounting Information System,
Finance, Economics, General Management, Hospitality Services Administration,
Human Resources Management, International Business, Law, Logistics Management,
Management Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management, Personal
Financial Planning, Purchasing and Supply Management, Real Estate Development,

4. CMU requires graduates to demonstrate competency in English Composition,
Math and Speech. A grade of 2.00 or better in the following LCC courses
will fulfill these competency requirements: WRIT 121/131, WRIT/ENGL 122/132;
MATH 112, 121 or higher; and SPCH 120/130.
5. LCC students must take both ACCG 211 and CITF 110 to transfer courses into
CMU as ACC 255 and BIS 255.
6. Select 4-6 credits from ASTR 201, BIOL 120, CHEM 135 or 151&161, ISCI 121,
or PHYS 251.
7. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the
LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog for additional details.
8. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
registration. For testing hours call (517) 267-5500.
