required to meet three EMU general education requirements. The following
requirements may be completed at the most appropriate time for the student,
whether before or after enrollment at EMU:
   a. an approved course in Quantitative Reasoning: [taken at LCC/EMU]
   b. an approved course in Perspectives on a Diverse World [taken at LCC/EMU]
   c. an approved Learning Beyond the Classroom course/experience at EMU.
To use MACRAO, students should request a MACRAO evaluation of their tran-

are required to complete the EMU General Education Requirements.
2. Only coursework with a GPA of 2.0 or better will be accepted in transfer to
EMU.  A minimum of 60 semester hours exclusive of community college credits
is required for graduation from EMU.
3. All prospective elementary/secondary education are required to attend an
open advising session at EMU. Visit the teacher education web site at
http://www.emich.edu/coe/oas/sessions.html to select an advising date.
4. Transfer students who pass each section of the Basic Skills Test, have 56
transferable credits and a 3.0 GPA may apply directly to the College of
Education without having to complete the 12 credits at EMU.
5. See the EMU Undergraduate Catalog, consult the College of Education (see
   below) or http://www.emich.edu/coe/programs/undergraduate/index.html for
